PURPOSE: A triode carbon nanotube field emission display using barrier rib structure and manufacturing method thereof is provided to prevent the distortion of picture by prohibiting the position shift of a spacer by a barrier rib. CONSTITUTION: A triode carbon nanotube field emission display is composed of a front transparent substrate(150), a backward substrate(110), and a spacer(180) provided on between the front transparent substrate(150) and the backward substrate(110), which keeps a predetermined distance therebetween. Cathodes(120) of a stripe-like shape are formed on the backward plate(110). A resistance layer(125) is formed on the cathodes(120). A barrier rib structure(130) used in stacking with an equal distance carbon nanotube with a mesh structure(190) for emitting electrons, is provided on the resistance layer(125). Gates(140) of a stripe-like shape are formed on the mesh structure(190) in a direction crossing the cathodes(120). Anodes(160) of a stripe-like shape are provided on the front substrate(150) in a direction crossing the cathodes(120). Phosphors(170) are coated on the anodes(160).
