PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide superconducting wire material of low alternating- current loss.;SOLUTION: The oxide superconducting wire material comprises a filament 27 as oxide superconductor, a ceramic coating layer 22 which is in contact with the filament 27 to coat the filament 27, and turns into a nonsuperconductor at the operation temperature of the filament 27, and a silver sheath 24 as a metal pipe which is in contact with the ceramic coating layer 22 to coat the ceramic coating layer 22.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
