The gateway has a diagnostic network bus installed between a data transmitter (10) and a data receiver (12). A microprocessor is programmed to transmit a simulated message towards the transmitter and to retransmit a diagnostic message from the transmitter towards the receiver. A transmission unit transmits a simulated data stream (15) identical to stream emitted by the receiver and transmitted by the gateway.
