PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical LAN system in which a fault occurring in a light delivery section at a slave node on a network can be grasped on the master node side.;SOLUTION: An O/E converter 24 at each slave node on a network is provided with an output level judging circuit 40 for detecting abnormal drop in quantity of light of a light emitting diode 57 in an E/O converter 23A at a slave node delivered an optical signal on the network or a master node on the basis of the output level of the optical signal received on the network.
