PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens in which a photographing view angle at the wide angle end is as wide as 80° or more, a variable power ratio is five times or more, a front lens diameter is small, which contributes to an extremely compact design, and a micro mode with a magnification of 0.5 or more is provided, and to provide an imaging apparatus that has the zoom lens.;SOLUTION: The zoom lens include at least, in order from the object side: a first lens group GR1 having a positive refracting power; a second lens group GR2 having a negative refracting power and being movable when a power is varied; one focusing group (fourth lens group GR4) disposed behind a third lens group GR3; and a lens group (sixth lens group GR6) located on the image side of the focusing group, having a negative refracting power, and being movable when a power is varied. The zoom lens has the micro mode in which the first lens group is fixed at the telephoto end, the lens groups (hereinafter referred to as micro-lens groups) from the second lens group to the negative lens group are integrally moved from the telephoto end to the object side, and thus making it possible to focus on a distance closer to a regular photographing area.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
