PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus, by which method and apparatus, three-dimensional products, such as a trial product for press forming in mass production, can be precisely and quickly formed without any restrictions for a forming shape by preventing the wrinkles of a body, the reduction of a sheet thickness, etc.;SOLUTION: The method for forming a shape comprises the steps of: carrying out a drawing process by pushing a punch having the forming shape to a required height from the direction of a sheet thickness in the state that the edge portion of a blank material is gripped; and then carrying out a shape forming process by means of the punch and a tool from the opposite side of the sheet thickness in the state that the punch has been pushed-in and the flow of the material is locked by increasing a wrinkle suppressing force; and after that, carrying out a drawing process by reducing the wrinkle suppressing force and by lifting the punch to a required height again; and then carrying out a shape forming process by means of the tool in the state that the flow of the material is locked by increasing the wrinkle suppressing force.
