PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the optical device which can accurately monitor a light projection quantity. ;SOLUTION: In a holder 9 in a housing 8, light emitting elements 1a, 1b, and 1c, a monitoring light receiving element 2b, a projection lens 3, and dichroic mirrors 5a and 5b are arranged and below the holder 9, a light receiving element 2a for detection is arranged. The dichroic mirrors 5a and 5b guide lights emitted by the light emitting elements 1a, 1b, and 1c to the projection lens 3. The projection lens 3 is so arranged as to converge the lights from the light emitting elements 1a, 1b, and 1c on one end part of an optical fiber 6a. The monitoring light receiving element 2b is arranged between the projection lens 3 and one end part of the optical fiber 6a where the lights are received. The optical fiber 6a guides the light converged by the projection lens 3 to a detection position and an optical fiber 6b guides the light at the detection position to the light receiving element 2a for detection.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
