The invention relates to a calculation method for electromagnetic devices containing ferromagnetic materials. Said method can be used in the modelling, design, and control of such devices. The invention also relates to a device for implementing one such calculation method. According to the inventive method, ferro-inductance coefficients are taken into account for modelling the specific behaviour of the electric circuits that are magnetically coupled by ferromagnetic materials in a systematic calculation method based on a discretisation of space and a particular resolution of an analysis of functional matrices that are representative of the geometry of electromagnetic devices and the composite magnetisations thereof.
