The method involves associating an access condition, comprising several information needed to descramble the content, to scrambled content. The content is transmitted along with the access condition to a receiving terminal. Information about the access condition is consistently or occasionally sent from the terminal to an access managing unit through a point-to-point link. The sent information is processed by the access managing unit for permitting or preventing the usage of the content by the terminal based on processing result. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an access control system (2) a device for distributing a transmitted scrambled content (3) a receiving terminal (4) a computer program intended to implement an access control method.
