The cap has a conical part (17) connected to a transverse wall (3) and splaying from the wall towards a free end of a sealed internal skirt. A part (18) having a terminal inclined face (19) extends from the conical part towards the free end and has, in an axial section, a curved shape with a concave side (18A) turned towards an axis of the cap and with a convex side (18B) turned towards an external skirt. The convex side cooperates with an inner side of a container neck. The free end has an external diameter slightly larger than an internal diameter of an edge of the neck. An independent claim is also included for an assembly comprising a container.
