The face has a support (18) supporting a radiator (14) and/or motor-fan system (16), and fixation units fixing the support on a motor vehicle body. The units have metallic attachments (28) fixed on edges (18a, 18b) of the support. The attachments displace the front face from a forward position in the absence of an impact towards a backward position in case of an reparability impact. Each attachment deforms along a longitudinal direction of the vehicle by absorbing the energy in case of staggered impact on a side of the attachment and forms a hinge rotating the support around a vertical axle.
