Composition (A) of solutions, substances, materials or coverings, being optically transparent/translucent in one part and photoluminescent in other part and developed in solid, liquid or gaseous medium, comprises: a base substance (I) having high photoluminescent power, in micronized powder form having an average distribution of 1-50 mu and mass percentage of 6-80% of (A); and a matrix (II) being translucent/transparent or becomes translucent/transparent after application or implementation, having a good optical quality, i.e. chemically compatible with and intended to obtain (I). Independent claims are included for: (1) a juxtaposition of a layer comprising (A) with at least a layer of a base material containing doping products acting as catalysts, with complementary luminous effects, creating visual effects and providing a reinforcement or a modification of the photoluminescent effect of the juxtaposed layer; (2) excitation of non-photoluminescent element present in a composition or in a layer by natural light and/or other energy source, which transmits all or part of its energy to photoluminescent particles; (3) application of a composition or a juxtaposition of layers on parts of the object surface; and (4) application of a composition or a juxtaposition of layers on transparent/translucent supports forming supports that can be positioned for short time or permanently to the surface of an object for revealing its surface in darkness.
