The engine (3) has high and low pressure turbocompressors (4, 5) with respective high and low pressure turbines (7, 6) and high and low pressure compressors (9, 8) arranged on burned exhaust gas and air inlet assemblies (10, 12), where the assembly (12) is connected to an intake manifold (2). High and low pressure regulators (18, 19) control discharge valves (17a, 17b) regulating respective exhaust gas pressure differences between upstream and downstream of the turbines. An arbitration block permits one of the regulators to transmit a regulated control signal based on the engine`s pressure.
