The armchair has cushions fitting an armature i.e. shell, and a set of slats (20) integrated to the armature, where the slats are perpendicular and/or parallel to a longitudinal direction of the armchair. The slats are carried by a base plate (13) mounted on the armature, and are made of material different from the material of the plate. The slats are designed and distributed with respect to transversal and longitudinal median plane of the plate in a symmetric manner.
