In vivo/sampled biological material target imaging method, e.g. for diagnosing dysplasia, involves receiving part of emitted laser radiation, reinjecting radiation in laser cavity, and detecting perturbation conveyed to emitted radiation
The method involves emitting laser radiation with an optical frequency towards a biological material target e.g. uterus, for illuminating the target using a class-B laser. The radiation is frequency shifted with another frequency, where the frequency shifting between the frequencies is equal to a relaxation frequency of the laser. A part of the emitted radiation is received, and the received radiation is reinjected in a laser cavity. Perturbation conveyed to the emitted radiation is detected by the reinjected radiation. The perturbation is processed for obtaining an image for its analysis. An independent claim is also included for an imaging device comprising a laser.
