The tool (10) has a distal cutting head (16) with a blade (36) and a counter blade (38) that are mobile with respect to each other for defining a cutting line (40) extending transversal with respect to a longitudinal axis (X-X`) of a stent (14) at neighborhood of a distal end (26). A control unit (60) controls relative displacement of the blade and the counter-blade that are activated from a proximal end (24). The head has a passage (58) for guiding the blade, where the blade is mounted sliding in the passage. The head delimits support stops that form the counter-blade.
