The invention concerns a method for preparing and applying a slip during the production of ceramic dental prostheses. The method comprises separately packaging corresponding predetermined quantities of the powdered solid component in a first closed container (1) and of the liquid component in a second closed container (2), said containers being particularly analogous to syringes, and adding the liquid component, particularly by injection, to the first container containing the powdered solid component, then mechanically agitating the components in said first container, degassing and deflocculating the slip, and expelling the slip from said first container so as to apply it to the surface of the tooth model.
