The illuminator (1) has a wireline/wireless controlling electronics (7) controlling triggering of the illuminator with a standard grip/X-synchronous clamp (6), where the illuminator delivers quantified partial measuring values representing spectral reflection factor of a plane object (4) that is collected by a sensor lighted by LEDs (2). A programmable component (8) lights the LEDs. An optical diffusing element (3) mixes different light emissions of the LEDs. A spectral image reconstructing unit reconstructs an object`s spectral image, and operates based on an interpolation/indirect method.
