The device (1) has a cylindrical receptacle (4) including an upper opening (5) for receiving a goblet (2) that is integrated in an inner trimming component e.g. armrest, of a motor vehicle, where the receptacle is made of elastomeric material. The receptacle has an inner wall with a set of flexible radial projections (6) that is presented in the form of ribs (7) and bosses. The set of projections is arranged for housing the goblet of different sizes, for being in fixed contact with the device, by an elastic deformation of the projections. An independent claim is also included for an inner trimming component comprising a goblet housing device.
