The device has a processing unit associated to capturing zones of a charge-coupled device retina. A luminous image intensifier has an input photocathode constituted of a multilayer deposit, an electronic multiplication micro-channel assembly with a surface input conduction face, an output screen and a polarizing source delivering a bias voltage to the photocathode with respect to potential of the face. The deposit has a set of sectors (S1-S16) electrically polarized by the source based on a lighting level detected by the retina.
