The method involves injecting a reducing agent liquid in a chamber heated at sufficient temperature for complete vaporization of the injected liquid. Vapor formed by the vaporization is introduced in an exhaust pipe (2) by a communication unit arranged between a vaporization chamber (4) and a duct (21) by forming a vapor jet (32) along transversal direction with gas current (5), where the gas current circulates in the duct to realize a homogenous mixture of vaporized liquid with the gas current by brazing. An independent claim is also included for a device for injecting a reducing agent liquid in exhaust gas current circulating in a duct.
