The reverser has a driving slider (24) for driving an inversion flap (20) and movably mounted in a lateral launching skid (33) arranged in a longitudinal sliding cowl (2), where the slider is in a form of movable intermediate stub. The slider is connected to a downstream end of the flap through a driving rod (30), such that the traversing movement of the slider in the launching skid is accompanied by pivoting the rod and by the flap. A telescopic activating actuator drives the slider, in translation, in the skid when the sliding cowl is in a downstream translation phase.
