The tool has a protective apron separating a machining station and a drive station (200). Connection between a hoist (220) and transverse rails (231, 232) carried by bracket (230) is placed at a base part of hoist. Top part of the hoist is free from a guiding element so that back of a spindle is accessible for installation, handling and maintenance operations when the movement of headstock (210) positions the spindle in top part. The rails guiding the translational movement of the hoist are placed in horizontal and vertical planes, where the hoist movement is realized by a linear motor (233).
