The burner has a primary air intake unit (13) in a cylinder (1) or a heating element. The unit is positioned in a lower part of the burner below a base wall (3) such as grille, provided with perforations. The wall is arranged for receiving the solid fuel. A depression generating unit generates the depression within the burner to create circulation of primary air from the bottom of the wall and solid fuel till a gas output tube (4) in an upper part of the burner. The generating unit is constituted of a compressed air distribution unit (2) positioned in an elevated part of the burner.
