The method involves inserting a secured and unique digital certificate on the fly in a hypertext link displayed in a web page provided by a user (10). An integrity of the certificate associated with the hypertext link is verified following the selection of the hypertext link by the user, where the hypertext link activates a connection (36) towards corresponding web site. The selection of the hypertext link by user is validated as legitimate to establish the connection of the user to the web site in a case of success of the verification of the integrity of the certificate. An independent claim is also included for a system for validating the selection of a hypertext link displayed in a web page provided to a user.
