The system has a power supply pack (1) e.g. power strip, whose connection device (3) e.g. cable, connects a socket (2) e.g. wall socket, with a current source, and interrupter e.g. bistable relay, opens or disconnects power supply of the socket. An activation device has a recognition unit e.g. microcontroller, for recognizing an infrared signal emitted by a pressure on a button of a remote control of an electrical apparatus. The device has an electronic unit activating the interrupter from one of the opening and disconnection states to other state during recognition of the signal.
