The system has identifying or communicating units e.g. radio station, for exchanging data between an aircraft crew and personnel outside the aircraft. A radio management panel (1) includes windows (2a-2d) displaying the data relative to the communicating units. A display screen displays a communication page (5). A mission computer (7) is connected to the management panel and to the display screen. The display screen includes a control window (9) controlling the management panel that is equipped with a function (10) listing the communicating units. An independent claim is also included for a method for utilizing a communication system.
