The device e.g. parallelepiped rack (2), has lower and upper walls (8, 12) and a bottom (10) delimiting a storage space, where the wall (8) receives a valise. An opening (14) permits an access to the storage space. The wall (8) has a rectilinear edge (24) provided with circular cylindrical metallic rollers (26) that are pivotally mounted around an axle (28) parallel to the edge, when the valise is pushed towards/withdrawal from the space. The rollers are aligned along the edge, where each roller is covered with a layer made of non-rigid material i.e. rubber, at its periphery.
