The method involves varying an operating speed of a fan assembly (16) from an operating speed to another operating speed. A portion of a core cowl baffle (101) is selectively positioned between the operational positions with respect to another core cowl baffle (102) to vary a throat area of the fan nozzle duct. The latter core cowl baffle is positioned flush against a portion of the core cowl (22). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an inner core cowl baffle assembly for a turbofan engine assembly (2) a turbofan engine assembly.
