The device has a web client (120) i.e. personal computer, including an audience measuring script executed by a script executing resource that is associated to a digital multimedia information stream reader of the client and a memory of a log file. An audiometry center (130) i.e. audience measuring server, has an audience data compilation resource (132) and a memory reading device that reads the memory of the file on which the script is executed. The client has an event detecting resource that detects interaction events between a user and the reader during reading of the stream.
