The device (1) has a threat detecting unit (5) detecting a threat (4), and including a detecting direction (D). A riposting unit (6) is associated to the detecting unit and allows projection by an explosive of an element e.g. missile, along a projection direction or plane (R). The riposting unit and detecting unit are arranged on a platform (3), so that the projection plane and detecting direction form respective angles (alpha, beta) with respect to a horizontal plane (P-H) of the platform. The angles are selected, such that the directions or planes are remotely cut from the platform.
