Orthopedic tool or its part primarily made of at least a plastic material, where the plastic material comprises at least a semi-aromatic polyamide having greater than 50 mole.% of repeating unit obtained by polycondensation reaction between at least an aliphatic diacid or its derivative and at least an aromatic diamine, is claimed. Independent claims are included for: (1) use of a criteria based on the color of the orthopedic tool to choose the orthopedic tool among several orthopedic tools that differ from one another by their color; (2) use of a plastic material identical to the plastic material contained in the orthopedic tool for its accordance with the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Class VI standards in a medical, surgical, orthopedic or orthodontic application, which requires using a material which is in accordance with USP Class VI; (3) the plastic material comprising PMXDA polymer (20-60 wt.% of the plastic material) and glass fiber (30-60 wt.% of the plastic material), in the orthopedic tool or its part comprising the plastic material conforms to USP Class VI; and (4) a hip rasp mainly made of the plastic material comprising at least the PMXDA polymer.
