The method involves establishing an average calibration function relating resonance frequency difference (deltaf) and physical magnitude e.g. temperature (T), of a differential resonator type surface acoustic wave sensor. The frequency difference is determined when the magnitude corresponds to a predetermined value. Shifting of frequency of the sensor or shifting of difference between a value obtained by the sensor and the predetermined value, with respect to the function, is determined. A corrected value to be obtained by the sensor is determined, by considering the shifting of the sensor.
