The installation (1) has a set of masts (11-14) susceptible to vertically rise under the effect of compressed air pressure. The masts are connected to each other by a set of cables, and mist diffusing nozzles are supported by cables. A set of panels closes a passage of dust. Each nozzle includes a spherical or cylindrical cavity in which a compressed air circuit and a water circuit are opened. An independent claim is also included for a method for suppressing emissions of dust during demolition operations of building.
