The method involves receiving a pairwise master key from a station (A') by an access point (B''), where the master key is encrypted by a secret (K) shared between a remote authentication dial-in user service (RADIUS) type authentication server (C), access point (B') and the access point (B''). The master key is issued from negotiation between the authentication server and the station and received from the server by the access point (B').
