The method involves delivering an incident signal to a low noise amplifier stage (LNAI), and connecting a current output of the stage to a storage capacitor in order to deliver a current signal to the capacitor, during a part of a half period of each period of a periodic signal. A signal transposed into frequency is obtained at the capacitor. The voltage of the current output is initialized to a value equal to that of the voltage of the capacitor, during the occurrence of each part of the half period. An independent claim is also included for a device for processing an incident signal, comprising a generating unit.
