The use of lignans and/or neolignans (1) for the production of pharmaceutical, cosmetic, dermatological and/or neutraceutic compositions (2) for the inhibition of aromatase or SHBG (sex hormone-binding globulin). Independent claims are also included for the use of (1) in compositions (2) for the treatment or prevention of pathological or aesthetic problems due to abnormal variation of testerone levels, for the treatment of acne, for the treatment and/or prevention of alopecia or for stimulating the regeneration of the extracellular cutaneous matrix.
