The beam has absorbers arranged at ends of a cross-piece (8) and partially absorbing energy due to a frontal impact that is oriented along a longitudinal direction subjected by the beam. One of the absorbers (10) has caissons (20, 22) with respective transversal inner reinforcing ribs (24, 26, 34, 36, 38) at its rear end that is associated to a structure i.e. stringer, of a motor vehicle. The ribs (34-38) induce the formation of a stabilizing ply (30) that is projected towards the exterior of the absorbers on a lateral surface (18) of the absorbers during the deformation of the absorbers.
