The device has a metallic insert (9) inserted between a valve seat (7) and a cylinder head (1) of an internal combustion engine. The valve seat is mounted in a shoulder (8) of an intake pipe (2). A semi-torus (9a) is supported against the cylinder head and extended towards the interior of the pipe, where the semi-torus generates rotational movement e.g. swirl movement, in a combustion chamber. The insert is oriented along a plane transversal to a main gas flow direction.
