The installation (1) has a test bed (47) located in a test laboratory (37) and supplied by an electrical network independent to another network supplying power to measurement apparatuses of the laboratory. An electrical distribution panel (48) is equipped with a set of plug-in connectors (49-51). The connectors are connected to the former network by branches (53-55). Each branch is placed in series with a branch switch. The lengths of the branches are different for simulating the behavior similar to that of a domestic electrical power supply network (3) to be tested. An independent claim is also included for a method for measuring electrical behavior of an electrical apparatus.
