Ophthalmic object e.g. finished lens, local curvature's contactless measuring method, involves emitting light beam on front face of ophthalmic object, and calculating surface of front face with help of analyzed data of wave front
The method involves emitting a light beam i.e. UV beam, on a complex front face of an ophthalmic object, and analyzing a wave front (FO) of resulting reflected light beam by using an analysis device provided with an entrance pupil. A surface (S) of the front face is calculated with the help of the analyzed data of the wave front by using Zernike polynomials, where terms of the Zernike polynomials represent optical aberrations of the surface.
