The device has a control valve (24) arranged on an exhaust pipe (21) connected to an exhaust turbine, and an electronic control unit (6) comprising a control unit (26) for controlling rotation speed of an electric motor (7). The electric motor is driven by an inlet compressor, and the control unit is used for controlling the valve. A reformer (4) is associated to a burner whose exhaust gas is evacuated by the exhaust pipe. An independent claim is also included for a method for setting temperature during starting of a system of a fuel cell embarked on a motor vehicle.
