The system (1) has a database controlling system (10) with an airport map database (11) having chaining of connectivity of data and describing cartography of an airport. The system (10) has a data base (12) with possible development or displacement preferences adjusted by ground control, movement rules and procedures applicable on an airport zone evolving in time. A cartography device (30) has an airport map module (31) with two dimensional graphical representation of data issued from the system (10). The device has a filtering unit for filtering data in view of the graphical representation. An independent claim is also included for a method for assisting airport movement of an airport.
