Apparatus for assisting a person in doing sit-up exercises

The described apparatus is intended to assist a person doing sit-up exercises. The apparatus comprises a base (1) that carries a U-shaped channel (defined by walls 2, 3) which can receive a door. The end of the base remote from the channel carries a thin cylindrical section (4) which may be padded inside and which receives the ankle or calf (10) of the user. Because the base is hooked under the door by the channel formed of walls (2, 3), the user's feet are held down at the floor thus facilitating the performance of sit-up exercises.
