BALLOON CATHETER FOR USE IN NOVEL TREATMENT METHOD USING BODY HYPERTHERMIA THERAPY IN COMBINATION WITH OCCLUDED ARTERIAL INJECTION CHEMOTHERAPY

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a curative influence by providing a balloon catheter for use in a novel treatment method using a body hyperthermia therapy in combination with an occluded arterial injection chemotherapy. PSOLUTION: This balloon catheter is provided with a heat-producing section and a pharmaceutical release section at the distal end and a balloon at the rear end side of the heat-producing section and the pharmaceutical release section. The heat-producing section can locally produce heat of an optional temperature, and the concentration of the pharmaceutical released from the relatively distal end side of the balloon can be adjusted by adjusting the blood flow by the balloon, so as to perform an effective treatment.
