PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-wetting evaluation gas sensor and a water-wetting evaluation method using the sensor capable of detecting existence of water-wetting at an optional timing and also to provide a gas sensor capable of surely preventing water-wetting or element crack due to water-wetting by housing a measurement section under easily water-wetting states, excellent in durability, and capable of detecting a concentration of certain gas ingredients in a measurement fluid at an optional timing.;SOLUTION: The gas sensor 1 has at least a sensor element 30 to detect a concentration of certain gas ingredients contained in a measured gas and a housing 12 to support a measurement section 300 of the sensor element 30 within a measured gas channel 800, and the housing 12 comprises an actuator consisting of a cylinder base 10 and a cylinder shaft 20 that enable a reciprocating action between a measurement position to dispose the measurement section 300 within the measured gas channel 800 and an evacuation position to dispose the measurement section 300 outside the measured gas channel 800 while supporting the sensor element 30 movably in an axial direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
