METHOD FOR INTERPOLATING VALUES OF RAINFALL AND SUMMING TOTAL RAINFALL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a telemeter monitoring facility which collects rainfall value from a rainfall observing facility, to automatically interpolate a missing rainfall value and a cumulative total rainfall value, when there is a measurement of the rainfall value missing, by using a technique of interpolating the rainfall value and summing the cumulative total rainfall.;SOLUTION: The rainfall value is collected from each rainfall observing station, at each prescribed collection clock time (S201-S202). If the collected rainfall value is abnormal, a rainfall variation trend is determined regarding one or more related rainfall observing stations, having a rainfall state similar to that of or being near the missing rainfall observing station, corresponding to the abnormal rainfall value (S203-S206). An interpolation rainfall value corresponding to the abnormal rainfall value is calculated for the missing rainfall observing station, by using the rainfall variation tendency, and the summed total rainfall value is obtained by performing accumulation operations (S207-S212).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
