PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount a tool accurately with a simple structure and allow easy replacement of tool.;SOLUTION: An ultrasonic spindle apparatus A is structured so that a spindle 2 having a tool 1 at the tip rotates while making ultrasonic vibration, and has a shrink-fit chuck 6 attached fast to the tip of the spindle 2, in which the tool 1 is fixed by shrink fitting to the shrink-fit chuck 6 while the spindle 2 is put in ultrasonic vibration. The tool replacement system of this spindle apparatus is equipped with the ultrasonic spindle apparatus A, a tool mounting stage for mounting the tool, a tool removing stage for removing the tool, and a control device to put the spindle 2 of the spindle apparatus A in ultrasonic vibration when the tool is to be replaced, wherein the control device removes the tool 1 from the chuck 6 when the spindle apparatus A is positioned at the tool removing stage, and when positioned at the tool mounting stage, fixes the tool 1 by shrink-fit to the chuck 6 while the spindle 2 is put in the ultrasonic vibration, and thereby tool replaceability is established.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
