PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressed bamboo material that has superior strength against bending, cracking, etc., to a conventional material, by efficiently compressing portions of bamboo structure having lower density when a large number of bamboo materials for the compressed material are bound and compressed, and thereby uniformizing the density of the bamboo structure as a whole.;SOLUTION: The compressed bamboo material (9) is composed of eight pieces of bamboo materials (90) having a required length and a trapezoidal shape in the cross section. The bamboo materials (90) has a lower structure density on the wider end which becomes the exterior side of the compressed bamboo material (9), and has higher structure density on the narrower end which becomes the interior side. The bamboo materials (90) are arranged circularly, with the inclined faces closely stuck to each other, with an adhesive applied between the inclined faces, and with a hole (91) formed in the center. The compressed bamboo material (9) is formed into a required shape by compressing the structure to the narrower part in the circular cross section while heating so that the exterior side with the lower bamboo structure density receives required pressure.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
