PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage medium access apparatus which, even when receiving an access request to a storage medium while an application is being executed, completes the execution within a cycle time, and smoothly executes access processing based on the access request, and to provide a storage medium access method.;SOLUTION: Between the application 15 and a device driver 16, an access module 17 is provided as middleware. When receiving a call for a function from the application 15, the access module 17 temporarily buffers it when the application 15 is being executed. When the processing of the application 15 is completed and enters an idle time to wait for the processing of the next cycle, the access module 17 outputs the call for the function buffered to the device driver 16 and accesses a flash ROM 13 in the idle time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
